Promoting my current content in Word press ACC

I decided this morning that I cannot put off actually promoting some of the content that is ready to go. There is content in the pipeline and now it is time to actually implement the promotional properties that we've developed. So to get started:

Here's a link to the pieces that are currently available: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18lccFEhYkz3hJOBYBvrOMfK91KDRNRHQ8PaJleutWL0/edit#gid=557067338

I am going to take this Post and now promoted across all the channels that are applicable:

Darn it says it needs to optimized, let me get started with the Yoast plug in. Here is all the feed back: :( Should've started with a keyword plan... Oh well since the goal of today is to promote socially and not organically, I am not going to get side tracked.

  • No meta description has been specified, search engines will display copy from the page instead.
  • Bad SEO scoreYou're linking to another page with the focus keyword you want this page to rank for. Consider changing that if you truly want this page to rank.
  • Bad SEO scoreThe focus keyword doesn't appear in the first paragraph of the copy. Make sure the topic is clear immediately.
  • OK SEO scoreThe slug for this page is a bit long, consider shortening it.
  • OK SEO scoreThe page title is wider than the viewable limit.
  • OK SEO scoreThe SEO title contains the focus keyword, but it does not appear at the beginning; try and move it to the beginning.
  • Good SEO scoreThis page has 0 nofollowed link(s) and 4 normal outbound link(s).
  • Good SEO scoreThe keyword density is 0.8%, which is great; the focus keyword was found 5 times.
  • Good SEO scoreThe text contains 596 words. This is more than or equal to the recommended minimum of 300 words.
  • Good SEO scoreThe focus keyword appears in the URL for this page.
  • Good SEO scoreThe images on this page contain alt attributes with the focus keyword.
  • Good SEO scoreYou've never used this focus keyword before, very good.

Ok - well the social props were never set up in Yoast so here we go:

Let me get out my handy cheat sheet...

This could take a while ... looks like I will need some help: http://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/the-beginners-guide-to-wordpress-seo-by-yoast-social-settings--wp-32840

Ok I have plugged in some social data into Yoast, but I have no idea if it is right or NOT! Let's keep going...

Well this is MUCH more involved than just promoting the posts on my social props with a link. We will have to come back to this as an advanced lesson on automating the process.

Question - Which is better: Hootsuite or Yoast? More effective? Are they duplicate processes? Who do the Pro's use?

Either way it will require me to set them up and dive into each property.

What about Linked In? I have put off setting that up. So let's bite the bullet and "Do The Work"

After researching link in groups in company pages I think I will be best served by simplyTo do this on my Facebook personal profile where at least I have audience.

Here is my pinterest upload:

So for the first time ever I promoted a blog post on Twitter Google plus Facebook LinkedIn interest and on my personal properties. Got side tracked trying to understand whether functioned like HootSuite but on reflection I don't see how it can it is just meant to optimize site andPosts for Google. We'll need to look at this further in a separate session. Now I need to determine whether HootSuite will speed up the process but first I will organize my tool bar on the ACC page for easy posting and see how this goes on the next round.

I only posted links and the only place people will see them is on my personal LinkedIn and Facebook pages. But I'm not promoting social on the blog and do not have it optimized any organic traffic that can possibly find me. So as all always lots to do and important to keep the vision.

Week of 8/22 plan - My Vision and Purpose

  • My big goal is to IMPROVE my communication skills and my promotional skills.
  • I am committed to fixing a huge weakness - Starting but NOT Finishing. This will require slowing down and addressing the annoying mundane details.
  • I am writing the ACC because it is a relevant issue for SEMCF's.
  • It has the potential to deliver an ROI for my time if I produce a simple book.
  • This book needs to be ready before 10/15. (Enrollment starts 11/1/16)
  • I need to remember that this project is an experiment and success can lead to another product for B3 which could be much bigger than the ebook.
  • Every piece I write needs to go through this filter:
    • How does this topic impact the average SEMCF? Why should they care about this topic? Do I have a solution for this problem?
    • Numbers, Numbers, Numbers > focus on the calculations most people don't have time to do.
Topics:

  • The answer for the semc is to move up and out. We will not save our way out of this disaster.
  • Gaming
  • Loopholes

Every topic > how does this impact the semc? Why would they care?
Numbers num num > focus on the numbers calculations and examples most people dont have time to do.

What is my goal? A simple Ebook by 10/1? Could I knock it out in 6 weeks?

Can I finish what I start? The ACC project is littered with unfinished unpublished articles. The entire project is in an unfinished state. This is the crux of my problems. The big weakness. It must be addressed and fixed, or I am doomed.

I need to always remember the big goal > which was to improve my writing skills and execution of Idea > Paper. That being said, my focus needs to be:

Weekly recap 8/21

It is very hard to tell whether this week was a success or a bust. I feel like I learn some things but was it worth a week Worth of effort? Some thoughts and observations:

I need a scorecard to give each day a grade to look back and see if it was a success period

I need a very specific goal to accomplish each day, So that I will know if it's achievable or not. All too often and not lose focus (today example) I start off with a concept or vague notion of what I want to do for example find relevant news items and end up spending hours heading down rabbit trails. This is very common whether I am writing an article for starting on my daily tasks. I must have a specific target and goal.

That being said, the freedom journal that Reggie gave me is a good concept but does not meet my needs. I need to have he top three targets for the day and then a grade at the bottom of the page showing whether they were achieved or not.

I always need to review the target and make sure they are fitting into the business goals. For example does riding about Aetna's exit from the healthcare market move me closer to having a product to sell in October? It does give me content to promote which is critical for the B3 class. So measuring it against that criteria it is a reasonable target/goal.

Two days last week I felt like I had accomplished nothing, But Force myself at the end of the day to finish a task. One day was the riding of the retirement funds necessary for healthcare along with two simple graphics. Made me feel good to go ahead and publish that even if it wasn't perfect. Upon review and reflection it was actually okay. New line

Yesterday I forced myself to finish a simple graphicOn the number of Health insurance companies projected for Obama care in the future. Again not very good but it did give me a sense of accomplishment. I think this relates back to the tasksAnd targets that I need to establish each day.

Action item: develop binder page for Sam's customized freedom Journal, With targets at the top room for notes grade at the bottom.

Action item: never forget that the crunching of numbers and the math examples are the core of my ACC products.

Updated BN Feed/Alert - Blog Post ACC #2

I spent the first hour this morning updating the brick in new feebly alert system adding and editing the Google alerts, interest alert, and YouTube alerts. I tried to figure out how to get a quora RSS feed set up but it does not seem to be available, so I set up a Google alert for Cora. This Will need to be a task that I delegate to Annie as I am refining the system. Continuous massaging is necessary as some search terms and alerts are too broad, Some irrelevant, And always opportunities for new ones.

Now to begin on blog post number two. The goal is to scan the alerts, find a relevant piece of data or topic, and then generate a paragraph on the topic. I want to be a drudge report type Post, but whereas drudge just Taylor's a headline for the pieces he finds interesting, I want to have a few sentences and a graphic that Will introduce the peace/topic.

Just scanning the notes I took yesterday is interesting and generates some ideas. First, an interesting fact is the loss of 300 million on 900,000 patients it covers under the ACA.
Is also the markets the Aetna is pulling out of Obama care period
Question: how many insurance companies were i fathernsuring ACA patients before Obamacare and how many are ensuring now?

1 Blog Post 2 Images Pulled from Feed

Today started out pretty slow. I went through two saved topics and for articles to outline to blog posts. Got through one post by the end of the day along with a couple of numbers and images generated from the numbers. Overall pretty frustrating, But again I'm happy that I did get through it. I decided I was going to post the blog approximately 300 words regardless of the quality.

http://affordablecarecoach.com/future-gets-bleaker-millennials-retired-folks/

So tomorrow I will try to figure out the best way to utilize HootSuite for blog post promotion and images utilizing Twitter Facebook and Pintris. At least I got two images done and the first time is always hard.

Finally ready for Twitter Posts - Developing this weeks schedule and content....

Okay after two weeks lots of thoughts little action is now time to begin generating posts and content.
I have taken the time to set up the ACC alerts and newsfeeds in its own Chrome Gmail profile. For the next week or so it will be a combination utilizing the old Feely / pocket set up.
As I go through the current feed there is a ton of content. My challenge will be to figure out how to appropriately present. If I just forwarded on to Twitter it does not leave me much room for commenting. So do I make a new blog post? Do I just make a short intro and for the whole article?
Another issue is keeping my eye out for numbers in data that I can incorporate it into an info graphic or picture. The pics will need to link back to my blog post/article data so again I need to figure out what to do. However I do feel good that there is some really quality content showing up in my alerts and I have reached out to two people today via twitter and Gmail so we are off to a start.

Some things to remember:
– I have to update my B3 Twitter chart
– I have to create a Twitter list of quality people I am following. It is obvious that the spam followers are huge and there are so many people posting crap.
–my goal for today is got to be clear or I will get distracted and confused. I am going to find 10 pieces of information to tweet and flesh out or draft three blog posts.

Well, wading through this process figure out small intros for Twitter along with links #'s etc. Is fairly tough. 10 AM and I have to move on a brick and you work so I'll have to pick this up again in the afternoonBut again I think the good news is that I have lots of relevant interesting content as compared to the formula three tipS foUr keys 12 whatever's that everybody else is doing.

Yesterday was a bust as I tried to figure out the best way to integrate newsfeed, chosen stories ideas, blog social. I need to develop a workable efficient plan for this integration. It needs to flow like this:
1) identify stories
2)Record my thoughts on why I chose why the stories are relevant
3) pull highlights/quotes from article.

It seems that usually the headline generates the idea I need to take the article pull data/fax and then use those for the intro and four pics/infographics.

  1. So I had no people follow me from yesterday and now we will allow these 50 to sit over the weekend and then we will evaluate whether we need to personalize a campaign to reach out to people I am interested in. However I need some interesting tweets to promote and fill out my profileSo we will continue adding peopleBut the key will be to get interesting content to share with the people I am following.
